“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, God dispatched his angels to call Yvonne home to meet her Heavenly Father. She peacefully departed her earthly life and gained her eternal wings surrounded by family. Yvonne was born on December 10, 1942, to the union of the late Norbert Gair, Sr. and Vera Smith.

Yvonne confessed her belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age at True Vine Baptist Church in Hahnville. Upon leaving True Vine she moved her membership to Mt. Zion Baptist Church of St. Rose. Later she became a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Hahnville. For many years she has been a member of Canaan Baptist Church of Killona, LA and was a faithful member of the choir. Yvonne was a graduate of Southern University. She worked for Southern University in New Orleans as secretary for the Dean and was later employed by Monsanto Chemical Company in Luling as a secretary in the Engineering Department and remained there until her retirement. After retirement, she worked as a volunteer at Ochsner/Saint Charles Hospital in Luling. Yvonne also went out of her way to help others, both family and friends, and frequently visited various nursing home facilities offering her assistance, prayers, and comfort. Ministering was her gift, her call ………. and she truly walked in it.

Yvonne also enjoyed traveling, reading the Bible, spending every morning with her prayer partners, and time with family. She readily opened her home for family gatherings and impromptu get-togethers. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert Gair, Sr. and Vera and Alfred Raymond, Sr.; siblings, Carol and John Gair, Alfred Raymond, Jr., Don Raymond, and Bobby Raymond, Sr.; and her son Craig Wolfe.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Henry Wolfe, Jr.; children, Tramaira Schexnayder and Henry Wolfe, III; siblings, Norbert Gair, Sr. (Portia), Jerry Gair, Sr., Horace Raymond, Sr., Janet Raymond-Elloie (Frederick), Billy Raymond, Sr. (Karen), Carl Raymond, Sr. (Sonya), and David Raymond, Sr. (Gwen); sister-In-law, Joyce Raymond, and a host of beloved grandchildren, a great-grandson, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV
