Tyris Da’Shon “Tmill” Millet

Born on March 17, 1997 in LaPlace, Louisiana, Tyris Da’Shon Millet entered his earthly life to the joy of Ormet Lynn Campbell and Gary Hilton, Sr. Twenty-six years later, entered his heavenly home on August 31, 2023.
As a child, Tyris loved the Lord. His favorite gospel song was “Never Would Have Made It”. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was admired for his beautiful brown eyes and infectious smile. He was educated in the St. John Parish Public School System. Tyris loved football. He started playing little league football with F.O.R.C.E. organization. He would sit and talk about football for hours. He could tell you the stats of all his favorite players in the NFL and everything about the New Orleans Saints.
Tyris was very proud when he walked across the stage at East St. John High School to receive his diploma in 2017. He was a gentle giant of both his own family and his church family. At an early age he was baptized at New Home Ministry by Pastor Steve O. Allen. He most recently attended Fresh Faith Worship Center where Bishop Otis Kenner, II was his pastor whom he love and respected dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memories of his mother, Ormet Lynn Campbell, his father Gary Hilton, Sr. (Rhonda), Brothers: Tromone Campbell, Troy Campbell, Jr., Gary Hilton Jr. (Tylin), Donte Thomas. Sisters: Imoni Ferrier (Harry) and Gabriella Hilton.
Aunts: Daphine Millet, Shannon O‘neal, Makayla Patterson, Blondie Jean Nelson (David), Natasha Hilton Eugene, Tonya Hilton, Gloria Baham, Shelia Williams (Troy). Uncles: Kimbel Millet, Brian Millet (Edwina), James Patterson, Darryl Hilton. Grandfather: Charles Hilton, Sr. Great Grandfather: Willie Collins. Godparents: Robin West and Jerome Goodwin.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Inez Millet and James Vaughn and his paternal grandmother, Daisy Hilton; his uncle Dennis Hilton, Sr. and Charles Hilton, Jr. and his nephews, Kerrell Sanders, Kymon and Styles Campbell.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at 10:00am on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at New Wine Christian Fellowship, 1929 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, LA 70068. Bishop Otis Kenner of Fresh Faith Worship-Officiating and Rev. Neil Bernard, Host Pastor. Visitation 8:30am until time of service at the above-named church. Interment St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace, LA.
