Tremond Michael Alvis entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at his home in New Sarpy, LA, age 38.  Tremond’s walk of life began on January 22, 1986, to the union of the late Reverend Clarence Alvis, Sr., and Bernadette Joseph Alvis.

He accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized by his father, the late Rev. Clarence Alvis, Sr., at Rising Star Baptist Church. He was educated in the St. John the Baptist Parish School system and was a graduate of East St. John High School Class of 2006.  Tremond was employed at Kellogg Brown and Root, Inc., as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager.

Tremond was a community advocate and leader. He spent much of his time working to help youth and families in St. John the Baptist Parish Community and supporting the recreation department with recreational sports. Tremond’s passion for giving back and being an inspiration for many will not be forgotten.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Dwyna Creecy on July 29, 2023.

Tremond leaves to cherish his life and legacy with his loving wife, Dwyna Alvis; his children, Tre’Jae Alvis, McKenzie Jasmin, Tru, and Teaghan Alvis; bonus children, Laisha Harris, Dalajh Sterling, and Myjhia Vaughn. His mother, Bernadette Alvis; siblings, Terrell Moss, Danielle Alvis, Keiana (LaCorey) Foster, Clarissa Alvis, Clarence Alvis, Jr., Dacia Zeno, Debriel Zeno, and Dajanae Alvis; mother and father-in-law, Owen and Cynthia Creecy; sister-in-law, Cabrina (Jody) Clay, a host of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Providence #2 Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Providence #2 Baptist Church, 152 Union Street, Laplace, LA 70068. Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named church.  Interment St. John Memorial Gardens, 2205 W. Airline Hwy, Laplace, LA 70068. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
