Rudi Eugene Gastinell Jr, age 39, entered eternal rest on February 12, 2026. A native of New Orleans, LA. Rudi resided in Algiers, LA where he was born & raised on love and built a life rooted in Christ. Rudi was born on April 28, 1986, to the late Connie Toles and the late Rudi Eugene Gastinell, Sr.
Rudi received his grade school education from Murray Henderson Elementary School. And graduated from O. Perry Walker High School class of 2004. Where he played the Quarterback position as #3 in football. Rudi also played park football for Cut-Off Park. Where he developed his skill and talent under the guidance of his father Rudi Gastinell Sr., who taught him everything he knew of the sport. Rudi loved football, and it was one of the highlights of his life.
Rudi worked in the Industrial Industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability. He took pride in providing for his family and approached every responsibility with determination and integrity.
Above all, Rudi was a devoted father whose love for his children was unwavering. He cherished his role as a parent and found his greatest joy in his children and being present for those whom he loved. His warm spirit, infectious personality, quiet strength, and caring heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Rudi is lovingly remembered by his beloved children Jahri and Milani Gastinell. His siblings Jamie and James Toles, and Da’janae Gastinell. His niece Jenesis Toles and nephew Louis Handy Jr. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Victor and Doris Washington. And his beloved partner in life Symeka Allen. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Who will forever cherish his memory.
Rudi is preceded in death by his beloved mother the late Connie Toles. His father the late Rudi Gastinell Sr. And his paternal grandparents, the late Lawrence and Evelyn Gastinell.
Though, Rudi’s time with us was far too brief. His legacy of love, strength and devotion will live on through his children and all of those whose lives he’s touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Landry Ave Algiers, LA. Bishop J.N. Brown-Host Pastor and Rev. Kevin Roy, Pastor of Mt. Olive #1 Baptist Church of Algiers-Officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00am until the time of service at the above-named Church. Interment Oakville Cemetery, Oakville, LA. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
