In Loving Memory of Roland J. Flemings, Jr.
September 20, 1965 – August 16, 2025

On August 16, 2025, Roland J. Flemings, Jr., at the age of 59, peacefully transitioned into eternal life. Born on September 20, 1965, Roland lived a life filled with love, faith, and service. He is survived by his devoted wife, A’Llana Williams Flemings, and his beloved children: Maya Flemings, A’yiana Flemings, Andrea Flemings. His siblings; Ryan Flemings, Rhesa (Kevin) Clay, Tawana Flemings, Robert Flemings, Zina (Kerry, Sr.) Sanders and Gabrielle (Michael) Percy. He also leaves behind his cherished grandson, Jaylon Flemings, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Roland was preceded in death by his loving parents, Roland J. Flemings, Sr., and Margaret Jackson Flemings.

A proud graduate of L.W. Higgins High School in Marrero, LA, Roland went on to earn his Master’s in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. He was a dedicated and active member of several organizations, including Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. – Alpha Lambda Chapter, the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, and Mason Progress Lodge #16 PHA in New Orleans. Professionally, he was employed with Big Trent, LLC, where he was highly respected and valued.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Providence Missionary Baptist Church of New Orleans, Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Marrero, LA, and all neighboring Churches, Cabrini High School, McNeese State University, are all invited to a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00am on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road, Marrero, LA 70072.  Rev. Terrence A. Ranson-Host Pastor, Reverend Dr. Lawrence St. Cyre, Sr., Officiant. Visitation 8:00am until the time of service at the
above-named Church.  Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA 70056. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
