Roger LeBeauf Obituary

Roger LeBeauf, affectionately known as “Tee” or “Rogee”, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the age of 73. On this day, he heard his master whisper, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

Roger LeBeauf was born on August 27, 1949, to Elva and Edward LeBeauf Sr. He was the seventh of nine children; and raised in the small town of Ama, Louisiana.

On March 27, 1993, Roger united in holy matrimony to Roslyn Charles LeBeauf; they were married for 29 years. He was a loving and devoted father to Rogene’ and LaRon LeBeauf.

Roger confessed his love for Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was baptized at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Ama by Reverend Steve Griffin. He served as a member of the Deacon Board and Male Chorus for many years.

He later joined Historic Bell Baptist Church of Luling under the leadership of his friend and pastor, Reverend Rodney Johnson Sr. He faithfully served as a Deacon, Male Choir President, and Building Committee member. Roger was also devoted to attending Bible Study, Sunday School, and weekly church services. Honoring God, he set a standard for his loved ones and friends to follow. His relationship with Jesus Christ was strong, faithful, and unwavering.

Roger was a proud graduate of George Washington Carver High School, Class of 1967, and loved his classmates unconditionally. In his younger years, Roger was an excellent basketball and baseball player. As he grew older, he enjoyed coaching his children’s recreational sports teams and watching sporting events. His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals. He loved and looked forward to spending time with family and friends. Cooking a good meal and boiling seafood was one of his most shareable and favorite pastimes. His favorite movie was Ice Cube’s Friday, which he would watch several times a week.

Roger was employed by Texaco, Bridgeline and retired from Chevron in 2012.

Everyone will remember him as a devoted husband, father, godfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His daughter, Rogene’, was the apple of his eye. He truly adored her. Although Rogee was the father of two, he treated all of his nieces and nephews as if they were his own; he would shower them with gifts, love, affection, laughter, jokes, morning messages, and even a ride from “the rabbit.” He was the life of the family. Roger never met a stranger. His infectious smile, contagious laugh, and endearing personality welcomed anyone who met him. He made everyone he interacted with feel as though they were his best friend or his “favorite.”

Roger leaves a legacy of sweet, loving, and blessed memories to his wife: Roslyn Charles LeBeauf; daughter, Rogene’ LeBeauf; siblings: Beulah Markey, Warren (Bertha) LeBeauf Sr., Julia Seymore, Donald (Elza) LeBeauf Sr., Michael (Deborah) LeBeauf, Laura (Tyrone) Cooper; in-laws: Lillian LeBeauf, Gilda Gayten, Melanie (Gregory) Smith, Sedera (Pearson) Montgomery, Kecia Charles, Derrick Weber, and Terry Charles; his Godchildren: Glen Gordon, Breana Helton, David LeBeauf, Nijel Shelby, Stacey Smiley, and Charles Wilson; aunts and uncles: Lois Eugene, Lucille Smith, Herman (Brenda) Charles and Doris (Wilbert) Marbley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
