On Sunday, July 23, 2023, Rodney Davis departed from his earthly life. He was born on February 28, 1961 to the late Louis Davis, Sr. and Sophia Byes Davis. Rodney was the father of two daughters, Ronnisha Davis and Elaina Smith. He was the grandfather of three grandchildren; Eunique Matthews and Alice’s and Brayden Smith. Rodney was the brother of Andrew Davis, Carolyn Davis and Linda Davis Bell.
He was preceded in death by his parents the late Sophia B. Davis and Louis Davis, Sr., his wife Carol Lee Davis, his siblings Louis Davis, Jr., Betty Oliver, Mary Ann Watkins and Brenda M. Higgins.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Rodney on Friday, August 11, 2023 at O.J. Dunn Hall, 1100 Cook Street, Gretna, LA 70053 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
