Orley Bennett peacefully transitioned from his earthly life on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born on October 10, 1934 to the late Eugene Bennett and Daisy Miles Bennett. He was the father of Sandra, Arlies, Marjorie and Brad Bennett, the late Patricia and Carolyn Bennett and Cedric Dent.
Orley was the brother of Celeste Jackson of Belle Rose, LA and Cecile Rayfield and Selina Bennett of Donaldsonville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 sisters and 8 brothers.
Orley leaves to cherish his memories, his children Sandra, Arlies, Marjorie and Brad, his grandchildren Gabriel, Jermaine, Jabri and Tongi Bennett, Delly, Chiquita and Tifa Mitt, Jontrel and Logan Bennett and Kenisha Dickey and 27 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church 14989 River Rd, Hahnville, LA 70057. Rev. Rodney Johnson-Pastor-Officiant. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of service at above name church. Interment Bethlehem Cemetery, Smith Street, Hahnville, LA.
