In the early hours of the morning, on February 28, 2022, God called one of his angels home. Orelia Young passed away unexpectedly in her home in Boutte, LA. “When God calls one of his most blessed angels home, the heavens rejoice while we are left behind to weep with the rain.” Orelia passed at the glorious age of 86.

Orelia Young, or as everyone called her “Ria” was born in Luling, La to the late Thomas Williams, Sr. and Rebecca Banks Williams on February 5, 1936. At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. Orelia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend to all.

Orelia was united in matrimony to the late Willie Young, Jr. and to this union four children were born: Bernice, Willie, Stanley, and Elizabeth.

She leaves behind her beautiful memories with her children: Willie Young, lll of St Rose, Stanley Young (Glenda) of Boutte, and Elizabeth Young of Boutte. Her loving siblings: Shirley Green of Luling, Morris Williams of Luling and sister-in-law Doris Williams of Luling. Her sweet grandchildren: Jeffery Hart (Shaun), Rachel Francois (Fabian), Willie Young, lV, Lucy Young, Renell Young, Jalissa Young, Stanley Young, Jr., Alisa McKay, Renee Young and Deontre Young. Eleven great grandchildren: Jeremiah Francois, Jayden Young, Willie Young, V, Journee Francois, Kaydence Young, Tahj Richardson, Wayden Young, Ronique Washington, Kaisley Young, Willow Young, and Saige Young. She was blessed with two Godchildren: Katherine Williams and Leotha Pollard. Orelia also leaves her memories with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well.

Orelia was proceeded in death by her mother and father: Thomas and Rebecca Williams , husband Willie Young, Jr, daughter: Bernice Donald, grandson: Willie Donald, sisters: Evelina Jackson, Elnora Morris and Clementine Williams, brothers: Thomas Williams, Jr., Ruben Williams, Preston Williams, Otis Williams, and Samuel Williams, and daughter- in- law Cheryl Young.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers, and Members of Historic Bell Baptist Church and all surrounding churches are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Historic Bell Baptist Church, 300 Hackberry Street, Luling, LA   70070.  Rev. Rodney Johnson, Sr. Pastor-Officiant. In accordance with the CDC Guidelines for COVID-19 all in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Visitation at the above named church begins 9:00 am until time of service.  Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte, LA.  Final Arrangements entrusted Patrick H.
