Ophelia Isaac

1947 – 2025

Ophelia Isaac transitioned from her earthly life on Monday, May 26, 2025, age 77. She was born on September 19, 1947, to the late Rev. Joseph Isaac, Sr., and Aleada Narcisse Isaac. Ophelia was the wife of the late Jimmy Scott and to this union two children were born, Kimberly G. Scott and the late Kevin G. Scott. She was a native of Killona, LA and a resident of Boutte, LA

She was baptized at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church by the late Rev. James Powell, Sr. Ophelia was a long-time employee of St. Charles Parish Government where she retired in 2007.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Kimberly, four grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Also, three brothers; Rev. Joseph Isaac, Jr. (Tracy), Jerry Isaac (Lenka) and Robert Isaac (Veronica) as well as five sisters; Thelma I. Hartman (Vincent), Mary I. Washington, Jacquelyn I. Poche, Valerie Isaac and Patricia I. Simpson (Earl).

She was preceded in death by her parents the late Rev. Joseph Isaac, Sr. and Aleada Isaac, her son Kevin Scott and her sister Beatrice Isaac Vining.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Canaan Baptist Church and all neighboring Churches, also employees and former employees of St. Charles Parish Government are all invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 11:00am on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Canaan Baptist Church, 319 Killona Drive, Killona, LA 70057.   Rev. Henry Wolfe, Pastor-Officiant. Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named Church. Interment Killona Resthaven Cemetery, Mary Plantation Rd-Hwy 3141, Killona, LA 70057.
