Norman Bourgeois, Jr. affectionately known as “Coon” was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday March 8, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born on April 15, 1949, to the late Norman Bourgeois, Sr., and Stella Coleman Bourgeois.
Norman was a lifelong resident of Des Allemands, LA. Norman was retired as a cook. He was employed with Benny Resiano, Captain Leo’s and later retired from Spurs seafood in Des Allemands, LA. He was fun, loving and always shared laughs with family, friends or anyone who delighted in his company.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Roshanda Simmons, and son Darnell Dorsey. His siblings Deborah, Sherlyn and Elvira, Kevin, Darryl, Aaron, Brian, Warren, Gerald, Leslie (Gloria) Bourgeois. Gail Dunmiles (Larry) and Demois’a Coleman. Sisters-in-laws Edna Bourgeois and Joyce Raymond, and brother-in-law Arthur Isaac. A very devoted friend Thelezia Folse and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin other relatives and friends.
Normans was proceeded in death by his parents, Norman, Sr. and Stella Bourgeois, his siblings, Alfred Raymond, Michael, Kenneth Bourgeois, Janice Sandolph and Diane Isaac.
Relatives and friends and of the family are invited to attend funeral service on Friday March 25, 2022, at 11:00 am, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 10867 River Rd, Ama, LA. 70031. Rev. Troy Smith-Officiant. In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 all in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Visitation at the above-named church 9:00 am until time of service. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Paul Mallard Rd, Boutte, LA. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
