Deaconess Nancy Henry Glenn was born on January 20, 1931 to the late Stella and Robert Henry, Sr. She passed into eternal glory on Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was the wife of the Late Oliver James Glenn, Sr. She was the mother of the late Loria Glenn Leonard, Aleria Glenn Zohy, Oliver James Glenn Jr, Valerie Ann Glenn Smith, Sheila Marie Glenn Foster, Gregory Glenn, Carol Denise Glenn Myre, and Sophia Paulette Glenn Doakes.
She is survived by four of her sisters, Stella H. Jimcoily, Augustine H Cook, Willa Mae . Green, and Geraldine H. Robinson; her son-in-law Bruce Smith; two brothers-in-law, Charles Robinson Sr. and Mervin Duplessis Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Lenir and Felicia Henry, in addition to her 25 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 12 great- great- grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family.
Waiting to greet her in Glory are her grandmother Orelia Felo, her parents, her husband, her daughter Loria Leonard, her nine brothers, Louis, Clarence, Larry, Kermit, David, Wilbert, John, Joseph, and Rev. Robert Henry; four of her sisters, Orelia H Anderson, Bernice H. Noil, Norma Hilliard, and Janice H. Duplessis; five brothers-in- law, Elton Anderson Sr., Vincent Noil, Ernest Cook, Howard Green Sr., and Albert Jimcoily; and five sisters- in-law, Artimese, Rita, Nye, Lorraine, and Maggie Henry. Relatives, friends of the family, and members of Second Nazarine BC, Mount Calvary International, and neighboring churches, Ochsner Medical Center, Pierce County Justice System, Macon County Correctional Center, SP+ Transportation, are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church of Algiers, 1737 L B Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70014, on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10 a.m., after the visitation, which will begin at 8 a.m. In accordance with CDC guidelines for COVID-19, all those in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
