Monica Lynette Jeffery Johnson

Monica Lynette Johnson was born on May 17,1966 in Thibodaux, LA. to the late Joseph Morris Jeffery Sr. and Shirley Parram Sims.  She was a resident of Hahnville, LA. She was called to eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center- Jefferson Highway- New Orleans at the age of 56.

She leaves to cherish her memories, 1 daughter; Chrishona (Phillip)Hopkins; 2 sons; Rechard Jeffery and Jason Ford Jr.  She is survived by her mother Shirley (Frank) Sims; siblings; Stacey Jeffery and Joseph Morris (Shloe) Jeffery Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 Godchild, Kaylen Sanchez Jeffery; 2 aunts; Bertha Washington and Lori Ann (Roy) Williams; 1 uncle; Junius Jones (Eula) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was a Culinary Chef at various restaurants and her passion was baking.

Monica was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Paradis, LA.  under the leadership of the late Rev. Albert M. Charles.

Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA  70068.  In accordance with the CDC guideline for COVID-19 all in attendance are required to wear masks.  Interment will be private.
