MILTON S. COLE

1938-2023

Milton S. Cole transitioned from his earthly life and joined his ancestors on Monday, May 29, 2023, age 85. Milton was born on March 8, 1938, to the late Oscar Cole and Dorothy Mills Cole.

Milton was joined in matrimony to the late Carolyn Laurent Cole on May 29, 1960 and to their union were two children, the late Devaliant “Chris” Cole and Germaine Cole Jones.

He was educated in the St. James Parish School System and was a graduate of Cypress Grove High School in Lutcher, LA.  Milton was a mechanic employed by the Colonial Sugar Refinery for 27.5 years.

“Mr. Cole” as he was affectionately called, loved spending time with his loved ones and watching his westerns on tv.

Milton will be welcomed at the gates by his parents Dorothy and Oscar Cole, his wife Carolyn Cole, his sister Madeline Joseph, and his children Devaliant “Chris” Cole and Germaine Cole Jones.

His loved ones left to carry on his legacy are as follows: his brother Arnold “Mike” Griffin, his son Michael Carter, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a  host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Legacy Celebration of Milton S. Cole on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 12:30pm at the Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA  70068.  Visitation 10:00am until time of Legacy Celebration.  Interment will be private.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
