Mildred Lee Powell

August 18, 1942 - February 14, 2024

Mildred L. Powell, 81, of Boutte, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, after a sudden decline in her health.  Mildred was born on August 18, 1942 to the late Ethel Charles.  She was the oldest of three daughters.  She graduated from Carter C. Raymond High School in LeCompte, Louisiana.  She retired from St. Charles Parish Hospital.  Mildred was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Community Church for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Charles.  She is survived by her two sisters: Mary Dales and Martha Prevost; nephew: Maurice C. Prevost; nieces: Kayla Dales and Bianca Dales; Godchildren: Shawnya Williams and David Coleman, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives, friends, Pastors, Officers and members of Mt. Zion Community Church, and all neighboring church members are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00 A.M at Mt. Zion Community Church, 107 Magnolia Ridge Road, Boutte, LA 70039.  Visitation is from 9:00 A.M until service time.  Reverend Charles Johnson, Pastor-Officiating.  Interment Mt.
