MICHAEL WAYNE BOYD, SR.

1958 - 2025

Michael Wayne Boyd Sr., affectionately called, “ Big Mike” departed this life on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Portland Oregon. Mike is the beloved son of the late Frank Boyd Jr., and  Beverly Boyd; Brother of Byron Anthony (Agnes) of Westwego, Frank Wendell (Lynell) of St. Louis, MO and Glynn Tyree of Gretna, LA. 

Michael was preceded in death by his Brother Dwight Orville and Sister-In-Law, Nancy Parker Boyd.

The father of three children, Michael Jr., Tabatha, Both of Portland, Oregon and Kendra Rose of Antigo, Wisconsin, nine grand children and one great grand child. Nephew of Elvin Boyd, Joyce Jefferson, Myrtle Boyd, Dorthy Boyd, Katherine Boyd and Maudie McCoy. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family and Pastors, Officers and members of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, March 31, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 13635 Old Spanish Trail, Boutte, LA. Pastor Clyde Staes is officiating.  There will  be a public walk through beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte, LA.  Funeral Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
