Marvin “TinMan” Harris

February 7, 1958- March 29, 2024

On Friday, March 29, 2024, Marvin “TinMan” Harris peacefully entered the eternal gates of heaven at the age of 66. He was born on February 7, 1958, in New Orleans, LA to the late Sadie Mae Hester and Herman Harris Sr. 

Marvin was well known for his comical sayings, and anything truck related which led to a career in the trucking industry. He worked at Rodco Trucking, Inc. for more than a decade. Marvin also loved to laugh, cook, and watch football. His favorite football team was the San Francisco 49ers.

Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, so he will be greatly missed by many.

Marvin is survived by his wife; Tanya Harris, daughter; Chelsea Harris, brothers; Herman (Marilyn) Harris & Theron (Karen) Harris, sister; Donna (Calvin) Price, grandkids; Kaisyn Mayho, D’Juan Harris Jr., Alaina Harris, Lasiyah Harris and Quinasia Washington, great granddaughter; Khloe Washington, Godchildren; Kera Keller and Catrina Jefferson, plus a host of nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his mother (Sadie Mae Hester), father (Herman Harris Sr.), Stepfather (Oscar Cleveland), Son (D’Juan Harris), brother (Donnie Lee Harris), and brother (Wendell Harris).

Relatives and friends of the family, Priest and Parishioners of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosay Catholic Church, 1 Rectory Lane, Hahnville, LA 70057. Visitation from 9:00am until the time of Mass at the above-named Church. Interment Bell Baptist Cemetery, 2614 LA-1, Raceland, LA 70394. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
