On the evening of June 6, 2024, he heard a soft voice call his name. He answered, who me Lord?
And GOD said, yes, my son, I need you with me. Marlon closed his eyes, smiled, and went home to be with our Lord.

Marlon Joseph Williams, Sr. was born on November 6, 1965. He passed away of natural causes on June 6, 2024, at the age of 58. He was the son of the late Beverly Ann Gauthier Williams and Dallas Lenix Williams. He was the father of Marlon Joseph Williams, Jr. Brother of Donna Marie Williams, Debbie Lynn Fernandez, Tami Renata Hunter, Curry Patrick Williams, and Christi Ann Williams. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, loving cousins, and devoted friends. He leaves behind his long-time partner Crystal Ellis. Loving friends and coworkers of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge mourn his passing as well.

Marlon was a beautiful person with the humblest spirit. He lived his life according to GOD’s word and that was evident by the many daily notes of scripture he left behind in his home, in his car and in his workspace. He found his purpose to be a servant for GOD’s people and that is how he lived his live.

Marlon a.k.a. “Duck” as he was called as a young boy, was a quiet humble soul but he also had a quirky relationship with his special nieces and a respectful relationship with his big brother. They often recounted the many ‘fun’ times they had together……. stories the sister siblings really did not want details of.

He was a lover of sports, particularly following the LSU Sports Nation and the New Orleans Saints. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and initiated several start-up business ventures including a barber shop and a health and fitness facility.   In 1995 his alter-ego came out and he fulfilled his dream to dress and celebrate as a Mardi Gras Indian, he donned beautiful hunter green feathers. He faithfully attended Living Faith Christian Center Church in Baton Rouge, LA as well as visited many other churches when he traveled.

There is no doubt in our minds that Marlon is rejoicing in Heaven with his parents. Rest in peace our Brother, as GOD has already told you…. job well done!

Relatives and friends of the family, Priest and Parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and Living Faith Christian Center are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th Street, Laplace, LA 70068.
