Morris Wallace, Jr. was born on August 29, 1947. He departed this earthly life and transitioned to heavenly glory on the morning of Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born in Port Allen, Louisiana to the late Morris Wallace, Sr., and Carrie Beverly Wallace. He was the oldest child of his parent’s union. Morris attended Cohn Elementary and Cohn High School in Port Allen, Louisiana. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in his early twenties.
On September 19, 1981 Morris was united in holy matrimony to Cora Ealy Wallace by the late Rev. Calvin Jackson, Sr. He was a long time resident of St. John Parish, Louisiana. Until his death, Morris served faithfully on the usher board for many years at New Wine Christian Fellowship Nondenominational Church in LaPlace, Louisiana under the leadership of Pastor Neil Bernard. He was also a faithful and active member of the Men’s Ministry.
Morris had a winning smile and was always willing to give a helping hand. He loved barbequing, baking, and was a great cook! He could repair and fix almost anything. If he couldn’t repair it, he would find a friend who could or “google” the answer in order to complete the task at hand.
Morris retired from Kansas City Southern (KCS) Railroad where he worked as a Carman for over 30 plus years. Prior to working for KCS, Morris served in the United States Army for two years (Vietnam War) where he received an honorable discharge.
