MELVIN BRADLEY, III

Melvin Bradley, III departed from this life peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021, at the age of 43. Affectionately known as Roper, Melvin was born April 13, 1978, to Melvin Jr. and Gail Bradley. He was a lifelong resident of Killona, LA where he served as Fire Chief of the Killona Volunteer Fire Department. Melvin was employed at Shell Refinery-Norco, LA. where he worked as a Process Technician for the past 8 years. Melvin was a kind and humble person who enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He will truly be missed. He leaves his three children Makalyn, Makaijah and Maleigha Bradley to cherish his memories. He was the devoted and loving companion of Regina Preston; loving brother of Nedra, Ayauna, Terris and Aaliyah Bradley; beloved Uncle of D’Layshun, Hayden, Roshan, Naszir and Ahneira. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin Sr. & Thelma Bradley and Roosevelt & Ethel Mae Washington. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at The Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, 14989 River Rd., Hahnville, LA 70057 on Saturday August 14, 2021, at 11:00 A.M.  Pastor Rodney L. Johnson Sr. Officiating. Visitation from 9:00A.M. until time of service. Interment Killona Resthaven Cemetery, Mary Plantation Rd, Hwy 3141, Killona, LA.
