Lyncoy Montrell Reynaud, Sr.

1979 - 2026

"A Life to Be Remembered"

On Tuesday, June 10, 2026, the Lord called our beloved Lyncoy Montrell Reynaud from his earthly dwelling to his heavenly home. Lyncoy was born on November 6, 1979, to the parents of Anita Reynaud and Izell Thomas Jr. He was baptized by Reverend Willie Dewey at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church in Norco, LA.

Lyncoy developed a passion for reconditioning and reselling vehicles which proved to be successful. He was a compassionate, kind, genuine, and selfless person. His generosity was undeniable. He met the needs of friends, family, and strangers without judgement or an expectation of repayment.

He was blessed with (5) beautiful children: Lyncoy Reynaud Jr., Jeremiah Reynaud, Braden, Bryce, and Layla Reynaud. They were all the apple of his eyes. His sense of humor kept us laughing as he taunted his sisters about being the baby. He would say, “yall girls old now, the gym can’t help you, so, stop it, ain’t nothing wrong with being 75, yall momma 95,” and if you know his momma, her response made us all laugh harder when he didn’t find her rebuttal funny.  These moments will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Izell Thomas Jr.; grandparents, Irvin and Viola Reynaud Sr., Izell, and Shirley Thomas Sr.; godmother, Elizabeth Mitchell.

Lyncoy leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Anita Reynaud; (5) children, Lyncoy Jr., Jerimiah, Braden, Bryce, and Layla Reynaud;  (2) sisters, Tammy (Emanuel) McMillon and Vanessa (Daniel) Dumas, siblings Bryan Watkins, Tangee Jones and Shannon Hewitt; (2) Aunts, Ruth T. Coleman, and Jacquelyn T. Zeno, a host of relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Greater Good Hope Baptist Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 11:00am on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church, 47 Cathy Street, Norco, LA 70079. Rev. Tyrone Scott, Pastor-Officiant. Visitation 9:00am until the time of service at the above-named Church. Interment St. John Memorial Gardens, 2205 W. Airline Hwy., Laplace, LA 70068.
