Obituary

Lincoy Nigel Moliere, left his earthly home to his eternal rest with the Lord on Thursday, March16,, 2023.   Lincoy was a unique soul who could make you forget your problems and fill the room with laughter. The life of the party, who could make you laugh until you had tears rolling down your face.

Lincoy was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed cruising with his Free Rider friends.

Born December 6, 1963 to his biological mother, Bernadette Bennett; upon her marriage to Leonard C. Jackson, Lincoy became the adoring son he never had. On January 6, 1964, Lincoy was adopted by his grandparents Marcus Poston Moliere and Eva Vinnett Moliere. Lincoy was educated in the St. Charles Parish School System, a graduate of Destrehan High School and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. Lincoy accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at the Fifth African Baptist Church where he was a drummer for his youth choir. An employee, for many years at A.M.E. Inc, Lincoy, was responsible for keeping many floors beautifully maintained. A visit to New Orleans International Airport was evident of his skills and pride in his work.

On June 15, 2006, Lincoy married Kim Phillips and became the stepfather of Herbert J. Benjamin. Lincoy was the father of and is survived by Lincoy Moliere, Jr.( Nicole), Steven Moliere(Laminda), Nicholas Moliere( Ke’Sean), Lyncoya Maize, Keishawn Mathieu( Tyrone), Domonique Simmons, Malik El (Lanimie Datulayta) and Damien Armstrong. The grandfather of 18 beautiful grandkids. Lincoy was the brother of Burnell K. Moliere (Lydia), Sherridel Rising (Tommie), Theodis C. Moliere (Steferna), Jewana J. Lebeaux (Eric) and Ardonia J. Levy (Terrence). Sisters-in-law Rosalind Phillip, Racheal Baldwin, Karen Phillip, Trina Phillip (Marvin), a brother-in-law David Pittman (Maxine).

Lincoy is proceeded in death by his wife, Kim Phillip, mothers Bernadette Drysdale and Eva V. Moliere. Fathers Leonard C. Jackson and Marcus Poston Moliere; Mother-in-law Marie L. Phillip, father-in-law Curtis Watts ; sister Evette Moliere Washington.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, children Lincoy Moliere (Nicole), Steven Moliere (Laminda), Nicolas Moliere (Ke’Sean), Lyncoya Maize, Keishawn Mathieu (Tyrone), Domonique Simmons, Malik El (Lanimie Datulayta) and Damien Armstrong. Siblings, Burnell K. Moliere (Lydia), Sherridel Rising (Tommie) and Theodis C. Moliere (Steferna). Stepson Herbert J. Benjamin (Marlon); sister-in-laws Rosalind Phillip, Racheal Baldwin, Karen Phillip, Trina Phillip (Marvin); brother-in-law David Pittman (Maxine). 18 beautiful grandkids, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends. And least I forget to mention a faithful and loving furbaby, BowLow who misses both Lincoy and Kim very much.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Marine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to the Celebration of Life at 10:00am on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Marine Baptist Church, 3034 Andover Street, Jefferson, LA  70121.  Visitation 8:30 am until time of service at the above-named Church.  Interment Private. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home & Funeral Directors, Inc.  605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA  70068.
