Lawrence “Bo” Shepherd, III

First Breath: 03/22/1958      Eternal Rest: 04//11/2026

And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,

neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away.

Lawrence Bo” Shepherd, III was born on March 22, 1958.  On April 11, 2026, he was called home to rest at the age of 68.  He is the beloved son of Lawrence, Jr. and Carolyn Shepherd and lifetime companion Julia Dent.

Bo was kindhearted and a very friendly person, who was willing to help anyone he could.

Bo preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Nina and Sheree and a sister-in law Laura, also maternal and paternal grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Keiana Dent and Renata Foley and his son Tyren Dent and 4 grandchildren; Donte’ Dent, Damein Foley, Jr., Tyren Johnson and Ashton Johnson.  2 sisters: Owanda Shepherd, Suzanne Alexander, 1 brother Roderick “Rod” Shepherd, mother-in-law Ethel Dent and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and cherished friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the visitation from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, Laplace, LA 70068.  Interment Young Cemetery, 3rd Street, Edgard, LA  70049.  Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
