Lance "Lil Lance Washington, Jr.

Lance Washington, Jr., received his Heavenly wings on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the age of 25. He was affectionately known as ‘Lil Lance’ by family and “Double L” by his close friends.  Lil’ Lance was a beloved son, born to the union of Kim and Lance Washington Sr., on June 26, 1997.  He accepted Christ at the early age of 6 years old, baptized by Pastor D.B. Mollaire, Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Norco, LA.

Lance, Jr. was a native of St. Rose, Louisiana, and a lifelong resident, where he was raised and attended St. Rose Elementary and graduated from Destrehan High School.  He was actively involved in sports, playing recreational football and extracurricular football at Destrehan High School.

Lance, Jr., leaves to cherish his fondest memories, mother Kim Washington and father Lance Washington, Sr., loving and devoted sisters LaJeante Williams, Keionte Williams and LaShonte Washington, and precious nieces Kamryn Williams, Trinity and Treasure Thomas, Londyn Session, and Nova Washington.  His aunts Shelita Williams-Thomas (Ernest), Shawndrea Tucker, Angela Cressy, Sandra Washington, Letitia White (Donald), Melissa Washington, Jovanda Washington and Dawn Thomas, his uncles Donald Thomas, Derrick Armstrong (Melissa), will miss him dearly, along with Jaz’Myn Lewis, his longtime girlfriend and confidante, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lance, Jr. is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Harry Williams, paternal grandparents Laura Mae Armstrong and Lionel Washington, Sr., and uncle Lionel “June” Washington, Jr.

Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Destrehan High School, Ochsner Hospital, LA Workforce Commissions-Hearings Div. Dist. 7, Law Office of Robin Lawrence Saizan, and Second and Get Down Crew are invited to attend the services.

Lance’s Homegoing Service, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Oakland Baptist Church, 825 Reverend Richard Wilson Dr., Kenner, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Homegoing Celebration 11:00 am, Pastor Charles Hurst, officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 145-199 Lentini Lane, St. Rose, LA.  Funeral Arrangements Entrusted to the Patrick H.
