Kiley Rochelle Batiste

1981 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Kiley Rochelle Batiste. Kiley slept away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in New Orleans, LA.  She was born to the union of Rogers and Cewillow Simmons Batiste at United States Public Health Service Hospital in New Orleans, LA on Wednesday July 2, 1981.  Kiley was 42 years old.  She was the sister of Kip J. Lewis, Kandyce Sharett Batiste-Rowan (Michael) of Houston, TX., Greg Lockett of Savannah, GA. and Roger Joseph of Covington, LA.  Niece of Morris Batiste, Louise Tuircuit, Joseph Simmons (Patricia “Nancy Harvey), Joann S. Watson, Ceola S. Jackson, Dianne Simmons-Romar and Barbara S. Dowl and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kiley was educated in the Orleans Parish and St. John the Baptist Parish School Systems.  She was a graduate of East St. John High Class of 2003. 

Kiley is preceded in death by her grandparents James and Viola Stewart Batiste, Hardie and Ceola Sharett Simmons, Uncles Julius, Clarence, Earnest, Joseph and Raymond Batiste, Aunt Leola B. Johnson and a host of cousins.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Riverland Christian Center and all neighboring churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Riverland Christian Center,480 NW 3rd Street (123 Redemption Way), Reserve, LA 70084.  Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named church.  Interment Lake Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
