KELISHA BARNEY

A GOD shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither  sorrow, nor crying, neither shall  there be anymore pain: for the former things are passed away.  Revelation 21:4 

Kelisha Barney was born on July 30, 1979 to Mrs. Paula Barney Singleton and Mr. Henry Moses. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the St. Matthew Baptist Church in New Sarpy, LA  by Rev. Fred T. Porter.  Kelisha graduated from Destrehan High School in 1997.  She furthered her education and graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA in 2005 with a  Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.   After graduating she moved to Houston, TX. She was employed by Memorial Herman Hospital.  Her craft allowed her to work at several Houston hospitals for 16 years.  She also worshipped at several churches in Houston.  Kelisha leaves to cherish her precious memories, her parents Paula & Bryan Single-ton, Sr. and Henry Moses.  Four sisters, Katrina (Randall) Campbell of LaPlace, Scha-mayne (Gerald) Hicks of Augusta, GA. Simone and Shalayna Moses of Luling, LA; 2 brothers, Bryan Singleton, Jr of LaPlace and Bryland Moses of Hahnville, LA; 4 nephews, Randall & Kamren Campbell, Demetrius Robinson III, Keith Allen III, one niece, Demani Robinson; 4 uncles, 5 aunts, one great uncle, and 2 great aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Louise Narcisse and Jessie Barney and her paternal grandmother, Donice Lee. Kelisha never met a stranger and she will be greatly missed!  Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and members of St. Michael Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at St. Michael Baptist Church, 315 James Street, Kenner, LA. Rev. Keith Smith-Host Pastor and Rev. Melvin Wilmore-Officiant. Visitation at the above named church from 9:00AM until time of service.  In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 all in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Interment New Sarpy Cemetery, New Sarpy, LA.  Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
