Joyce Marie Perry Raymond

Joyce Perry Raymond transitioned from her earthly life on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1943, to the late David Perry, Sr., and Oliska Francois Perry. Joyce was the wife of the late Minister Alfred Raymond, Jr. `Joyce was the mother of Elcid (Amanda), Adrian (Catina) Raymond, Yvonne (Eric) Bell, Yvette (Keith) McKnight, Tracy (Rev. Joseph) Isaac, the late Allison Alexander. One bonus daughter, Joycelyn LeBeouf and one bonus son Rev. Rodney Johnson. She was the sister of Glenden, David (Glady) Perry, Stanley (Carrin) Perry, Melvin Johnson and the late Yvonne Wheele and Audrey Mitchell. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Joyce’s lifetime friend/sisters Donna Davis and Patricia Downing. She had 1 son-in-law Chris Alexander, 16 brothers-in-law and 10 sisters-in-law. She also had a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Joyce was the true definition of a phenomenal Queen.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, officers and members of Canaan Baptist Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to the Celebration of Life Services at 11:00am on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Canaan Baptist Church, 319 Killona Drive, Killona, LA 70057. Rev. Henry Wolf, Sr., Pastor-Officiant. Visitation 9:00am until the time of service at the above-named church. Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft, LA. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H. There will also be a visitation from 6:00pm until 7:30pm on Friday, September 26, 2025.
