Jonathan William Manuel transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the age of 34. He was a native and resident of Harvey, LA
Jonathan was born on April 30, 1989 in Gretna, LA at Meadow Crest Hospital to the union of Johnny Manuel and the late Rose Wilson-Manuel.
Jonathan accepted christ at an early age. He attended the House of Judah in Harvey, LA. He attended West Jefferson High School and received his GED. He was a construction worker.
Jonathan or “Dugga” as he was affectionately known to his family and close friends. He enjoyed playing basketball, running track, listening to music and rapping. Dugga loved to get FLY!
Jonathan was preceded in death by his mother Rose Wilson-Manuel, sibings, Tiffany Wilson, Dondrick “Deno” Wilson, grandparents, Andrew and Roetta Manuel, Leslie and Marylee Wilson, great grandparents, Sidney and Viola Louise Hayes.
Jonathan leaves to cherish his earthly memories his son, Jonathan Butler, father, Johnny Manuel, step-mother, Rhonda Manuel, siblings Johnny Hamburg, Joanifer Monique Hamburg-Johnson and Latonya Wilson and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a honorary grandmother Annie Hall.
Dugga will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Israel Baptist Church are invited to a funeral service at 11:00am on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther Street, Harvey, LA 70058. Rev Jerrod Jessie-Officiating(Triumphant Church, Luling, LA. Rev. D. Mckinnis-Host Pastor. Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named church. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery, 3450 Hwy 90 West, Avondale, LA 70094. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA 70068. 985-359-1919. “Providing Care & Comfort is Our Highest Mission”.
