James Johnson, III was born on February 27, 1975, to James Johnson, Jr., and the late Rose Agnes Young-Johnson. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. He was baptized and accepted Christ in Texas. James Johnson, III was known as "JJ". He was free spirited and loved spending time with his family. He would go out of his way to place a smile on your face. Family and friends will deeply miss James. He is preceded in death by his mother Rose Johnson, grandparents, Lorraine and Ferdinand Young, Sr., James Johnson, Sr., Lula Mae Johnson; uncles Grant Young, Ferdinand Young, Jr., Michael, and Frederick Johnson; Aunts Sharon and Connie Young; cousins Quinn Johnson, Gilbert Smith, Demond, and Joseph Washington.
James leaves to cherish his memories his father, James (Carolyn) Johnson, Jr., his brothers Furnell (Cassandra) Williams, Dwayne Johnson, and Cristopher (Nadia) Johnson; nephews Furnell, Jr., Dwayne, Jr. and Christopher Johnson, Jr.; niece Aleire Boyle. He was the nephew of Anna (Gilbert) Smith, Patricia (Alvin) Joseph, Joyce Pierre, Lonnie (Carolyn) Young, Ronald and Renee Young, Marilyn Washington, Rudolph, Ronald (Martha), Lester (Joann), Bernie (Carolyn) Landry (Latricia), Manuel and Iris Johnson, Donna William, Edward (Elizabeth) William, and host of cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastor, Officers and members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ama, LA are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.. Rev. Johntre Green-First Pilgrim Calvary-Officiant.
