On Saturday, July 6, 2024 our heavenly father called our beloved one, Jacquelyn Robertson, to leave all pain and earthly responsibilities behind and to rest from all her labor. Jacquelyn has taken her final steps where there is no weeping, pain or sorrow. She is reaping her great reward reserved for the faithful.
Jacquelyn Robertson was born to the late Rosa Mae Bailey Diggs and Clarence Diggs, Sr. on September 6, 1948, in Norco, LA. She was a native of Norco, LA, resident of Laplace, LA for many years and most recently Reserve, LA. Jacquelyn “Jackie” was married to Alfred Robertson for 18 years. She was baptized at Greater Good Hope Baptist Church in Norco, LA.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Letichia (Donald) Nelson, Alfred (Connie) Robertson, Lynette (Jules) Hutchinson, Michelle (Clyde, Jr.) Marcell,
Garland (Michelle) Robertson, Grandchildren, Anicia Morris, Alfred, Jr., Nikita, Jules, Jr., George, Shakita, Daisha, Miya, Clyde, III., Jacorian, Garland, Jr., Daequan. Sisters Patricia Victor, Wyonna Diggs, Joanne (Clinton) Crockens. She also leaves 17 great grandchildren a godchild Aeisha Fobb.
Jacquelyn is preceded in death by her sister Carrie Mae (Leonard) Johnson, Brothers Herman Lee Diggs, Clarence (Evelina) Diggs, Stanley (Deborah) Diggs.
Jacquelyn was a graduate of Bethune High School, Norco. LA. She was employed by River Parish Hospital in the Dietary Department and later became a private sitter in Home Healthcare. She was a member of Milesville Memorial Church of God in Christ and Rising Star Baptist Church.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Great Good Hope Baptist Church and all surrounding churches are invited to a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Greater Good Hope Batist Church, 47 Cathy Street, Norco, LA 70079. Rev. Tyrone Scott, Pastor-Officiating. Interment Elkinsville Cemetery, 200 Short Street, St. Rose, LA. Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named church.
