Herman  (Lil Herman) Jefferson, Jr

September 17, 1968 - December 26, 2025

Herman “Lil Herman” Jefferson, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on December 26,2025. Beloved husband to Dawn Green Jefferson. Herman was the son of Lillie Mae Ross Jefferson and the late Herman Jefferson Sr. and the father of DeShawn Webb. He was the brother of Demetres (Jose) Gonzales. Herman was the nephew of Rachel and Debra Ross and the son-in-law of  Charles, Sr. and Antoinette Green and God Father of Lucieana Gastinell.. Also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 57, a native and lifelong resident of Algiers (Cutoff), LA. until relocating to Opelousas LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors, Officers, and members of Greater Providence Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, Second Nazarene Baptist Church and all neighboring churches also employees of Ignatius Residence and Tony Chachere are invited to attend the Funeral Service at 10:00am on Friday, January 9, 2026, Greater Providence Baptist Church, 623 Newton Street, Algiers, LA.  Rev. Rodney Price, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00am at the above-named Church. Interment in St. Louis #3 Cemetery New Orleans, LA. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
