Harry Lee Austin, Jr.

Harry Lee Austin, Jr., affectionately known as “Big Easy,” entered the arms of Jesus on February 6, 2022. He was born on February 10, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the descendant of Thomas and Louise Austin (paternal grandparents) and Theophile (Boot) and Blanche Pierre (maternal grandparents). He was the devoted only son of Harry Lee and Theresa (Pierre) Austin, Sr. Brother of Ramona Austin Kelly, Rita Austin, Bernadette (Anthony) Homer. He was the beloved uncle to Jamona Anderson (godchild), Ayana Kelly Young, Valerie Homer, Danielle Homer, Dominique Homer, Alvin Kelly, III, Jeremiah Anderson, and Dominick Bennett. He also leaves to cherish his memories, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Harry was a graduate of Hahnville High School and  a construction worker in St. Charles Parish, LA

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers, and Members of Word of Life Christian Center, St. Luke Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend funeral service on at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17,2022 at Word of Life Christian Center, 40066 LA-22, Darrow, LA  70725. In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 all in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Visitation 9:00 a.m. at the above-named church until time of service. Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery- Taft, LA. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 4:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at the Patrick H.
