Gwendolyn LaJoan Jackson

Gwendolyn LaJoan “Gwen” Davis-Jackson entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 21, 2023 surrounded by her family at the age of 81.  She was a native of Luling, LA and a resident of Boutte, LA.  Gwen was born on August 28, 1942 to the late Louis and Evelina Davis.  She was the wife of Arthur “Bill” Jackson.  The loving mother of Keisha Davis and grandmother of Tyrell, Tyree, and Tyesha Davis.  Sister of Brigitte Davis-Williams, Tracie Davis Stevenson, and the late Patricia Davis-Frazier.  She also leaves to cherish her memory her uncle Edward Davis, Godmother of Shanika George-Walker and Erica Young, sister-in-law of   Valonia Midkiff and the late Leonard Charles Jackson and stepdaughter Renecia Jackson also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, Historic Bell Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Paradis, LA, First Christian Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00am at Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, 14989 Hwy 18, Hahnville, LA 70057.  Rev. Rodney L. Johnson, Sr.-Officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time at the above-named church.  Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Paul Maillard Rd, Boutte, LA  70039.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
