3:5-6 King James Version 5

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

On Monday, October 21, 2024, God said your work here is done, Gloria your heavenly home awaits you, as she peacefully departed her earthly life and gained her eternal wings. I can imagine her saying, heaven is my forever home.

Gloria was born on August 29, 1948, to the union of the late Georgina and Edward Stipe, Sr. Gloria, who was affectionately known as Glo, saw fit to become a solider in the army of the lord. She was baptized at Canaan Baptist Church of Killona, La and was a faithful member until her untimely illness. She served as a member of the choir and was on the deaconess board. While ill, she knew it was communion Sunday, when she saw Rev. Powell. She would always say, I want to thank you God, for the communion and prayers that are bestowed upon me.

Gloria always enjoyed being with her family and of course the blackjack table. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. Let’s just say, she would give you the shirt off her back. That’s just who she was. She will be greatly missed.

Gloria was preceded in death by her Parents, Georgina and Edward Stipe, Sr. Husband, Roland H Pierre, Sr.  Sons: Donell Stipe and Roland Pierre. Jr. Son in Law, Antoine Lee Carter. Sr. Siblings: Annie, Cheryl, Charleen, Raymond, and Edward Stipe, Jr.  Aunts:  Mildred Mitchelle and Effie Jackson. Uncles: Clay August, Sr, and Erving Mitchelle. God child: Dana Stipe.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Hope Pierre Carter, and her devoted Grandchildren: Kori Herbert, Glasia Walker, Donell Bratton, Najia Brown, Antoine Carter Jr., Galynn Carter and Jalen Walker. Great Grandchildren: Reign Watkins, Niarius and Nicholas Joesph. Siblings: Janice Lumar (Robert), Yalonda, Javell, Jeffery and Ricky Stipe, Hastin Davis. God Children: Rupert Dinvut, Keelan Shelby and Nathaniel Jupiter. A host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. “

2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV
