"Glenda Gordon Marquez"

Glenda Gordon Marquez peacefully transitioned from her earthly life on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.  She was born on September 11, 1957 to the union of late Josephine Hall Gordon and Stanley Gordon, Sr.  She was the loving mother of Renee Marquez of Forest Hill, Texas and one granddaughter Hayden Kelsey Dillon.

She was the sister of Dolores Gordon Blanche, Stanley (Robin) Gordon, Jr. and the late Stella Gordon.  She leaves to cherish her memories her Uncle Ellis Hall, Sr., Aunt Alice Mae Hall, her very dear and devoted cousin Amanda Hall Hayes and her loving companion Otis Reese. 

Glenda was educated in the Orleans Public School system and graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School, New Orleans, LA.  She was a secretary for the City of New Orleans Sewage and Water Board.  Age 67, lifelong native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Jamall Weathersby.

She also survived by a 1 niece, a host of nephews, cousins and friends. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Ferncrest Manor, University Medical Center and Touro Infirmary for the care that was rendered to Glenda.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, LaPlace, LA  70068.  Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named location.  Interment will be private.  Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
