Gertrude Parks Clark passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the age of 82.

Beloved wife of the late Gregory Clark. Daughter of the late Lottie “Sug” and Frank “Tig” Clark. Devoted mother of Stephanie and Brian Clark and stepmother of Adriene Clark. Mother-in-law of Denise Clark.

Survived by 9 grandchildren, Brionne and Erielle Clark, Erieana Brooks, Ernest Blouin, Miquel Harris, Vera Moore-Shaheen, T’nia, Denae and Omaryana Clark-Wilkerson, one sister Arzella Freeman, one brother Sammy Lyons, four sisters-in-law, Joy Bowie, Terry Clark, Carmen Mosley, and Cherlyn Williams and three brothers-in-law Herbert Hawes, Sr., Ernie Clark and Lawrence Mosley. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by a grandson Devin Robinson, father and mother-in-law, Batiste, and Marjorie Clark, five sisters, Catherine DeLavallade, Tecola Parks, Nellie Hawes, Lillian Parks, and Carrie Cunningham; two brothers Roy and James Parks, six brothers-in-law, Sterling DeLavallade, Sr., Johnny Freeman, Sr., Zelma Cunningham, Dean Clark, Walter Bowie, and Raymond Williams.

 Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers, and Members of Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Beacon Light International Baptist Cathedral, 1937 Mirabeau Ave., New Orleans, LA. Minister Caroline Haley, officiating. Visitation 10:00am until time of service at the above- named church. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave, New Orleans, LA.
