GERRY WAYNE GASPARD

June 5, 1950 - February 25, 2023

Gerry Wayne Gaspard, age 72, of Destrehan, Louisiana was called to his eternal home on February 25, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Gerry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 5,1950 to the late Dolores Clark Gaspard and Eugene Gaspard Sr.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Yvonne Byrd Gaspard; son Roshawn Matthews; sisters Catherine Williams, Elizabeth Lawrence (Morris), Jacqueline Gaspard, Janice Joseph (Nathaniel), and Debra Gaspard; brothers Darryl Gaspard, Bruce Gaspard (Miriam), Douglas Gaspard (Mona), David Gaspard, and Johnell Gaspard.

Gerry was preceded in death by 4 siblings, brothers Eugene Gaspard Jr., Charles Gaspard Sr., Edward Gaspard Sr., and Larry Gaspard. He also leaves a host of many nieces, nephews, and other relatives to cherish his memory.

Gerry is a graduate of George Washington Carver high school in New Orleans, Louisiana.                           

Relatives and friends of the family, Priest and Parishioners of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 Rive Rd, Destrehan, LA  70047.  Visitation 10:00 am until time of Mass at the above name location.  Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft, LA.
