OBITUARY

Freddie Jupiter, Jr.

                Brother Freddie Jupiter Jr. was born on August 21, 1937 in Taft, La. He was the Fifteenth child of the late Bro. Freddie Jupiter Sr. and Sis. Olevia Richner Wilson Jupiter. They later moved to Hahnville, La. where he was educated in the St. Charles Parish School System. He was converted and baptized at an early age as a lifelong member of True Vine Baptist Church. As a member he faithfully served as a Deacon and Treasurer. Brother Jupiter was a member of the United States Marine Corps until September of 1963. He was a worker and doer for the Lord. Always willing to give a helping hand. He loved his church family and his favorite Hymn is “Trust in the Lord.”

On March 20, 1965 he was joined in marriage to the late Sister Josie Scott Jupiter. To this union one child was born Kernell Jupiter Sr. and inherited two loving children Sharon Scott and Herman White Jr.

            Brother Jupiter has fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith until Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He heard the Lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He leaves to Cherish the legacy of memories; (3) children: Herman White (Trudia), Sharon White Scott, and Kernell Jupiter Sr. (Genika). Grandfather of Dwight Jr. (Jasmine), Whitney Scott; Brittney, Jason(Jyia), Chad(Nicole), and Ashley; Kernell Jupiter Jr., Ariel Pierre(Thyron), Khloe Jupiter and Gazmyne Bazley. Great-Grandfather of Deja Tuckerson, Dwight III, Bria, Dakari, Jayla Scott; Mason Watkins; Caden, Janivea, Nevaeh White; Kenzie Pierre; Konnor and Kruz Jupiter. He was the brother of Thelma Joseph and adopted brother of Percy A. Wilson. Brother-in-law of Stanford (Laurel) Scott, Eldridge (Patricia) Scott; (2) Godchildren; Ginger Jupiter and David Raymond Sr. (10) Grandchildren, and (9) Great grandchildren. He also leaves a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. 

            He was preceded in death by his wife the late Sister Josie Scott Jupiter, parents, the late Freddie and Olevia Richner Wilson Jupiter, Raymond, Thomas, Lawrence, Isadore, and John Wilson; Lucile Clark, Alma Pierre, Ophelia McCarvey, Edna Augustine, Ernestine Laurence, and Kirby and Eddie Jupiter.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors,Officers and Members of True Vine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at True Vine Baptist Church, 320 Courthouse Lane, Hahnville LA.  70057.  Rev. Troy A. Smith, Pastor-Officiant.  Visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the above named church.  Interment Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft, LA.  70057.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
