 Elexia Owens Henderson, a lifelong resident of Mount Airy, Louisiana, departed earthly life for her eternal home on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the age 91. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Henderson, Jr.; daughter of the late Dee Branham and Eva Mae Owens; daughter-in-law of the late Lawrence Sr. and Justine Nelson Henderson, sister-in-law of the late Doris H. Jackson and espoused mother of Joseph Ronald Franklin. Godmother of the late Sharon Sealy and Chad Coleman

She was the mother of Wendell B. Henderson (Paula), Brandon B. Henderson (Tonya), and Mary Franklin Green; grandmother of 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-granddaughters; sister, of Lucinda Owens Brooks; sister-in-law of James Brooks, Richard and Shirley Manuel, Allen and JanieVee Henderson, Grace H. Spears and Lois H. Duhe; aunt of numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives, friends of family, Pastors, officers and members of First Community Antioch Baptist Church and all neighboring Churches, also employees of St. John the Baptist Parish School Board, are invited to the Funeral Service at 11:00am on Friday, May 16, 2025, at First Community Antioch Baptist Church, 10860 LA Hwy 3125, Lutcher, LA 70071. Dr. Steven D. Beckham, Host Pastor and Reverend Willie Laws of Lutcher Chapel UME, Officiating. Visitation 9:00am until the time of Funeral. Interment St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, 1550 LA-44, Reserve, LA  70084. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
