Earlie Cecelia Pierre Saul
On September 4, 2022, Earlie “Granny” Cecelia Pierre Saul entered into eternal rest at the age of 71.
Earlie was born on September 6, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the 4th of 10 children. She attended Southern University in Baton Rouge to continue her education. She went on to complete the Licensed Practical Nurse program and worked as an LPN for 20+ years. She worked briefly at Ochsner Main Campus before starting at St. James Hospital from 1974 -1977 and then worked at St. Charles Hospital from1978 -1984. Shortly thereafter, she was impacted a physically debilitating illness. Earlie fought strong and proud.
Earlie was preceded in death her husband Preston Saul, parents, Ettiennette (Sister) Songy Pierre and Joseph (Joe Box) Pierre, Jr., brother Glenn Pierre and sister Daigisele “Gisele” Pierre; brother-in-law, Walter and Larry Saul; sisters-in-law, Paula Kelly Saul and Stella Saul; granddaughter Asia Saul and grandson Tilwen Green, Jr.
She is survived by her three children, Marcus Saul (Samantha), Marland Saul (Amanda), Shalon Saul (fiancé Joseph Thomas, Jr.) and ex-husband Kenneth Boudoin. Earlie is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Donald (Emelda), Louis (Jean), Cheryl (Curtis) Williams, Carmel and Gerda Saul. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Tia Green Gooden (Clarence), Aaron Reed, Layla Reese, Camryn Saul, and Marcus Saul, Jr., great-grandchildren, Corey, Cayden, and Celisse Gooden, Tajh Green, and Tilwen Green III. Earlie is also survived by Godfather Hebert Bossier.
Earlie is also survived by seven siblings; Marvin Pierre (Lorraine), Marva Stewart (Charles), Marcel Pierre (friend Joycelyn Roussel Smith), Evelyn Pierre, Jimmy Pierre (Pauline), Cynthia Thibodeaux (Carl), and Ricketta Livingston (Kim), and one uncle, Alfred Songy (Cora Lee). Earlie leaves to cherish her memory Stella Edwards (her travel buddy), Earlie also leaves to cherish her memory, a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, family, and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, Priest and Parishioners are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard, LA. on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 10:00am. Rev. Robustiano Morgia-Officiant. In accordance with the CDC Guideline for COVID-19 all in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Visitation from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
