Earl Louis Triche, Jr.

1947 - 2024

Earl Louis Triche, Jr. entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age 77. He was born on May 19, 1947 as the eldest child of the late Velma Gross and Earl Triche, Sr.  Earl affectionately known as Poppa, was a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish. He was full of life and loved being around family and friends. Earl leaves to cherish memories: devoted wife, Wanda Cooper Triche. Poppa will be dearly missed by his children Tiffinie T. Sterling and Tamala Triche and his grandchildren Brandon Triche, Bryce Triche, and Brianna Sterling. He will be missed by his stepdaughter Legacy Hill.  Poppa will be missed for his loud storytelling at family gatherings, and lots of laughter. Earl will also be dearly missed by his loving siblings: Diane Triche, Gregory Triche (Hilda), Kenneth Triche, Bernard Triche, Sr. (Shandra), and Brian Triche (Deborah), a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, devoted cousins, friends, and close-knit neighbors. Earl is preceded in death by his parents the late Velma and Earl Triche, Sr., Darrell Triche, Sr. (brother), Pamela Triche Clark (sister), Ronald Triche (brother), Darrell Triche, Jr.(nephew) and Rachi Sterling(son-in-law).

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at 11:00am on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 10867 River Road, Ama, LA 70031. Rev. Sha’Teek A. Noble, Sr.-Pastor/Officiating. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the above-named church. Interment Mt. Pilgrim Cemetery/Mt. Zion, Ama, LA. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
