ERNESTINE "Teenie" STEWART

Ernestine “Teenie” Stewart peacefully passed away at the age of 86 years on Tuesday September 28, 2021. Daughter of the late James Stewart and Louise Arceneaux Stewart. Sister of the late Bernadine Stewart, Beverly Williams, Clancy Leo Stewart, Gloria Stewart, Kathleen Stewart and Louis Stewart. Devoted Aunt of Kendall Chambers and Tiffany Chambers whom she reared.  Also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and godchildren. Ernestine, affectionately known as Teenie, attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Elementary School and a graduate of Fifth Ward High School. Teenie furthered her education by attending and graduating from Southern University, Baton Rouge with a degree in Elementary Education, with further studies at Xavier University of New Orleans. She was employed with the St. John the Baptist School System for 33 years. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. A native and resident of Reserve, LA. Relatives and Friends, also Priest and Parishioners of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday October 4, 2021 at 10:00 A.M.  at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 772 LA-Highway 44, Reserve, LA 70084. Fr. Christopher Amadi, SSJ – Celebrant. Entombment St. Peter Catholic Church Mausoleum. Visitation at the above named church on Monday October 4, 2021, from 8:15 A.M. – 10:00 A.M.
