 Doris Ann Diggs Lee entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 01, 2024. She was surrounded by her children in Reserve, Louisiana. Daughter of the late Willie Sr. and Hattie Deggs.  She was born on September 17, 1946, and a native of St. Rose, Louisiana. She was educated in the St. Charles Parish School System, and a 1965 graduate of Bethune High School. 

 Doris is the mother of Christina Rivera, Yolanda Vance, (Kevin Sr.)  Renee Smith, Eddie Coleman Jr. and Shannon Lee (Tonoka).  She’s the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Even though Doris was a quiet spirit, she enjoyed serving the Lord, and sharing loving moments with her family. She was the sister of the late Louis Hampton (the late Ada), the late Mary Clark, (the late Leon), the late Willie Deggs Jr., Elaine Arceneaux, Raymond Deggs (Cynthia), Vallerie Wilright (the late Lawrence), Wesley Deggs, and Imogene Williams (Charlie). Doris was the God mother of Deborah Clark. She also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of the Fifth African Baptist Church, and surrounding churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Fifth African Baptist Church, 174 Fourth Street, St. Rose, LA. Rev. Gerald Vinnett Sr., Pastor-Officiating. Visitation 8:00am until time of service. Interment Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Road, St. Rose. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H.
