Donna Stipe

1950 - 2026

Donna Stipe, affectionately known as “Black,” peacefully transitioned from her earthly life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was born on April 4, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was a lifelong resident of Killona, Louisiana.

Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence Stipe and Lena Dent Stipe. She was a devoted and loving mother to Everlina Bryant, Marcia Little (Larry), and Freda Barne (Donald). Chosen Sons: Wendell and Jamey Downing.

Donna leaves her memory to be cherished by her siblings: Lawrence Stipe; Linda Howard (Nathan); Jim Stipe (Cynthia); Brenda Stipe; Walter Stipe (Stacey); and Renaldo Williams (Debra).

She also leaves five grandchildren: Kena Stipe, Damani Joseph, Larry Little, Kavon Jupiter, and Da’Zaya Barne; two great-grandchildren, Darryl Bardell, Jr. and Bailee Bardell; one godchild, Jefferey Stipe; one aunt, Ernestine Shower; one sister-in-law, Javonne Stipe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Stipe and Lena Dent Stipe; her brothers, Raymond Stipe, James Stipe, and Davy Stipe; her sisters, Sedonia Stipe, Shirley Downing, and Olivia Stipe Lewis; her sister-in-law, Katherine Stipe; her son-in-law, Al Bryant; and her niece and godchild, Melissa Ann Downing.

Donna will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering love for family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.

Relatives and friends of the family; priests and parishioners of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1 Rectory Lane, Hahnville, Louisiana, 70057.  Visitation 1:00pm until the time of funeral at the above-named Church.  Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery, River Rd, Taft, Louisiana.  Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
