Dean Renea Clark
1948-2023
Dean Renea Clark was born on June 6, 1948 to the late Batiste and the late Majorie A. Clark of Ama, LA. He was the second oldest of six siblings. Dean Clark was baptized at a young age at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Ama, LA. by Pastor T. Griffin. Dean graduated from George Washington Carver High School where he was their 1966 valedictorian. He attended Louisiana State University.
Dean Clark met the love of his life and married Terry Eugene Clark, on August 18, 1973. They would have been married for 50 years. This union produced two daughters, Nicole Clark Lemelle and Danielle Clark. He referred to both of his daughters as “Badness”. Dean made each of his daughters feel loved and special. Dean always said both girls were the favorite. After marriage, he moved to Baton Rouge for employment. He was employed with several companies, Victor Graphics, LSU Book Warehouse, and finally The City of Baton Rouge. He worked in the Engineering Department for the city of Baton Rouge until his retirement in 2016.
On Sunday morning, August 13, 2023, at 2:45am, Dean R. Clark of Baton Rouge passed away at the age of 75 years. He transitioned peacefully to glory at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge.
Dean Clark leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and caring wife of 50 years Terry Eugene Clark; two loving daughters Nicole Denise Clark Lemelle (caring son-in-law Tommy), Danielle Denise Clark, one precious grandson, the love of his life, Mason Riley Brown; one godson Antoine Becnel Jr.

Clark of Ama, LA, Three sisters, Joy Clark Bowie of Gonzales, LA, Carmen Clark Mosley (Lawrence) of Gonzales, LA, and Rev. Cherlyn Clark Williams, of Laplace LA. Four sisters-in-laws, Gertrude P. Clark, Karen E. Burton, Gail Eugene and Mary E. Harris of New Orleans, LA. Four brothers-in-laws, Alphonse (Estelle) Eugene of St Rose, LA, Clarence (Janice) Eugene, of New Orleans, LA., Clifford (Pamela) Eugene of Lacombe, LA., David (Patricia) Eugene, and Barry (Gail) Eugene, of New Orleans, LA and a host of extended family and friends.
Dean Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Batiste Clark, Sr., and Marjorie A. Clark, One brother Gregory B. Clark, two brothers- in-law Walter Bowie, and Rev. Raymond A. Williams, Jr, His Father-in-law, Clarence Scott Eugene, Mother-in-law Ruby Eugene, Sister-in laws Tracy A. Eugene, and Onester Evans, Brother-in-law LaRue Eugene.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Priests, parishioners and congregations of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Baton Rouge, Westside Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas, Our Lady of Guadalupe of New Orleans, First Emmanuel of Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, First Community Antioch Baptist Church in Lutcher, LA. are invited to attend the funeral services at 10:00am on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Mt.
