Deacon Isiah Riley

1932 - 2025

Deacon Isiah Riley entered into eternal rest on Monday September 22, 2025. Husband of the late Yvonne Berry Riley by first marriage and the late Dorothy Sanders Riley by second marriage. Father of Isiah (Yvette) Riley, Rogers (Giselle) Riley, Randell (Gloria) Riley, Sr., Rodney (Nicole) Borden, Cynthia R. Sullen, Madeline R. Rose, Dianne Borden, and the late Shelia Rose and Cliff Riley. 

He was the son of the late Moses and Classie Jacobs Riley. Brother of the late Alberta R. Gant, Leola R. Ancar, Rebecca R. Ellison, Olivia R. Mitchell, James Riley, Classie R. Washington, Moses Riley, Bernadette Riley, Vivian R. Ellison, and Virginia R. McCall. Brother-in-law of Yvonne Berry. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and his Second Baptist Church family. A native and lifelong resident of Algiers (Cutoff Community), LA, age 93 

Deacon Riley was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church. Deacon Riley was a man of great faith who loved the Lord deeply. His greatest desire in life was to touch the lives of others. His love for his family and his church was the foundation of his life.

Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors, Officers and Members of Second Baptist Church, Second Nazarene Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring Churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at 10:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place, Algiers, LA. Rev. Andre' Singler, officiating. Visitation will be from 8:00am - 9:50am ONLY. Interment  McDonogh Cemetery Gretna, LA. Final Arrangements entrusted to Patrick H.
