Darrel Honor, Sr.

Darrel Honor, Sr. peacefully passed at the age of 71 on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at his residence in Luling, LA.  Son of the late Melvin Honor, Sr., and Sarah Hills Honor.  Husband of the late Minister Mona Thomas Honor, father of Nicole Honor & Darryl Honor, Jr. (Ashley Rubin) and the late Rondell Honor, Sr., father-in-law also of LaTangie Honor.  Brother of Roy (Lillian) Honor, Warren Honor, Marilyn H. Brown and the late Melvin, Jr., Edward Honor, Helen Honor, Sarah H. Pierre, Morris Honor, Sr., Melvin Honor, and Celestine Williams. Brother-in-law of Cora Honor, Dorothy Honor, Irma Honor, Rosemary Isaac, and Theola Gullage. Grandfather of Jardyn, Rylee, Makenzie, Jornea, Rondell, Jr., Darryl III, Ryce and Jessa, Dillon and McKynlee. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Darrel was a member of First Baptist Church of Paradis, LA.

Airy Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, St. Charles Parish and Rapides Parish Public School Systems are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 11:00 am. Rev. Lionel Mason-Officiating. Rev. James Williams-Interim Pastor of First Baptist Church of Paradis, LA. Rev. Clyde Staes of Mt. Airy Baptist Church-Host Pastor. All in attendance must follow the CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Visitation at the above-named church 9:00 am until time of service. Interment Mt. Airy Baptist Church Cemetery.
