Darlene Simmons peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, age 58. Memories of Darlene’s beautiful smile and gracious heart will forever remain in the hearts of her son Brad Simmons, Sr., Grandson Brad Simmons, Jr., sisters Linda (Floyd, Sr.) Howard and Carolyn Simmons, brothers Elga, Jr. and Lionel (Patricia) Simmons, godchild Ashley Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents Elga Sr. (LJ) and Fannie Ethel Smith Simmons; paternal grandparents Sampson and Hattie Simmons; maternal grandparents James Sr and Ida W. Smith; sisters Betty Jean and Lori Ann Simmons; nephew Daron Howard and longtime companion Bradley Brimmer

She was a lifelong resident of Des Allemands, LA and a longtime employee of St. Charles Parish Public School System.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and Members of Antioch Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to the Funeral Service on Saturday, July 9, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 16423 Old Spanish Trail, Des Allemands, LA  70030. In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 mask are suggested for all in attendance. Visitation at the above-named church 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
