OBITUARY
Dario Denisio Alvaro Gomez
Dario Denisio Alvaro Gomez was born on June 2, 1991 to Indra Gomez Snyder. He was also reared by his grandparents, Oscar and Linda Gomez, and valued the role they played throughout his life. He was a very active and playful child, with a true talent and love for sports. Though he enjoyed all sports and outdoor activities, football was his absolute favorite. He attended East St. John High School, playing as a wide receiver on the football team and graduating in 2009. Dario furthered his education at Southeastern Louisiana University, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Management in 2016. He was most recently employed by Jefferson Parish in the Community Development department.
While attending SELU, Dario met the love of his life, Ahriel TaShaun Daigs on her birthday. They were inseparable from that day on and were married on March 23, 2019. Together, they completed their family with the birth of two handsome sons - Carson Jace and Cameron Rashad Gomez. Dario was a loving husband and devoted father, sharing all of his favorite hobbies with his boys. His family was truly his world.
In the fall of 2016, Dario fulfilled one of his longstanding goals and was initiated into the Hammond Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He was an active member in this organization and upheld its principles well.
Dario leaves to cherish his fond memory, his wife Ahriel and their two sons, Carson and Cameron Gomez; his mother - Indra Gomez Snyder, his brother - Larry "Trai" Snyder III, his grandparents - Oscar and Linda Gomez, and Shirley Stewart, his parents in love - Sherman and Trenella Daigs, one aunt Kishana Gomez, and a host of other beloved family and friends.
He joins in eternal rest his brother, Dontee Rashad Snyder. Anyone who met and knew Dario was welcomed with his warm smile, and fun, loving spirit! He truly lived life to the fullest and our memories of him will live on within us.
