Clifford "CooCa" Ruffin

1959 - 2025

Clifford " CooCa" Ruffin entered into eternal rest on Friday June 27, 2025, age 65. He was the son of Alberta Gabriel Ruffin and the late Joseph Ruffin, Sr., and stepson of Viola Mack Ruffin. He was the brother of Joseph Ruffin, Jr., Kendell Ruffin, Keith (Dorinda) Mack, Herbert Micheal (Henrietta) Goirl, Darryleen Ruffin (Kevin) Matthews, Deirdre Ruffin (Ronnie) Julien, Jessica Ruffin (Keven), Rosalind Goirl (Bobby) Brown and the late Ray Anthony Ruffin and Denitra Ruffin Lee. He was the grandson of the late Raymond A. Sr., and Alma R. Gabriel, Henry, Sr., and Josephine Felo Ruffin. The nephew of Raymond, Sr., (Emelda) Gabriel and Samuel (Alma) Byes. The godfather of Rachelle Noil Francois. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was a native and lifelong Algiers (Cutoff Community), LA resident. CooCa was educated in the New Orleans Public School System. He is a Veteran of the United States Army and upon completion of his enlistment he returned home to Algiers, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors, Officers and Members of Second Nazarene and Second Baptist Churches and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at 10:00am on Saturday July 5, 2025, at Second Nazarene Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd Street, Algiers, LA 70131. Rev. Peter Crawford, Officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00am until the time of service at the above-named church. Interment Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
